Are you still in school, but are looking to try a career in Health and Social Care?

Sounds like a Foundation Apprenticeship is the next step for you. While you’re still in 5th or 6th year, you will be able to gain a nationally recognised qualification, boost your knowledge and experience and get real-life work experience.  Looks great on your CV!

WHAT IS A BON ACCORD CARE FOUNDATION APPRENTICESHIP?

 

  • On the same level of learning as an SQA Higher (SCQF level 6) and sits alongside other school-based qualifications as one of your senior phase options.

  • Lasts for one year.

  • Gives you valuable work experience, combined with theory, training and skills development.

  • Enables you to work towards a nationally recognised qualification.

  • On completion, it can fast-track you into a Bon Accord Care Modern Apprenticeship.

WHAT DO YOU GET AT THE END OF YOUR FOUNDATION APPRENTICESHIP?

  • Positive experience & training to boost your CV.

  • A national qualification recognised across Scottish Colleges, Universities and Employers.

  • Achieve four SVQ units related to your work placement.

  • Real life experience working in the Health & Social Care Sector.

  • ​Completing a Foundation Apprenticeship opens up a wide range of further opportunities, and we will provide full support to follow your chosen future career pathway, whether that be working in Health or Social Care, or going on to study at College or University.
